FOUNDER & EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Leni lives in Beallsville Maryland where she and her husband raised their three children. Her passion and personal goal is to promote health and happiness and prevent isolation and loneliness for people of ALL ABILITIES and their families. Her son who struggles as a non speaker and with dysregulation of body movements and vocals has inspired her to create Shine On Together and offer opportunities to build meaningful connections and a sense of community.
Leni Barry is a graduate of Villanova University Nursing School. She served as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy Nurse Corps for 8 years. She worked in the Shock Trauma ICU and Emergency Department for several years, then Leni went on to focus on a specialty in Cardiology and Life Style Medicine.
She obtained her Masters in Health Promotion Counseling from Trinity University. Her current position is in the Department of Community Health and Wellness at Suburban Hospital, part of Johns Hopkins Medicine (more than 15 years).
Her efforts have a focus on vulnerable populations. She continues to love and honor her role to empower and inspire her clients with knowledge and strategies to promote their personal health and happiness.

TREASURER
Butch resides in Beallsville, Md with his wife Leni and son Nick. The Barry's have been heavily involved in the Poolesville community for the last 30 years.
Butch Barry is President of Complete Building Services, providing strategic leadership and operational oversight for the company's diverse service groups, including Facilities Management, Operations & Maintenance, Service Department, and Energy Management. With an impressive portfolio under his guidance, Butch oversees a dedicated team of 450 employees, 250 local clients, and 40M+ square feet of managed facilities spanning various sectors from commercial to government and from hotels to medical and research centers. He also serves as Senior Vice president of operations for the parent company, The Donohoe Companies, Inc.
Butch joined Donohoe in 1986 as a Cost Accountant for Donohoe Construction while simultaneously pursuing a degree at the University of Maryland. With a strong foundation in finance and construction, he transitioned to construction operations, where he excelled as a Project Manager, overseeing numerous large-scale construction projects. In 1995, he joined a local CPA firm specializing in construction litigation support, expanding his expertise. The World Bank then appointed him as Project Financial Management Specialist, with the responsibility of managing the contract and construction close-out of the bank's prestigious $314M headquarters project. Butch returned to Donohoe in 1988, assuming the role of Vice President of Operations for Complete Building Services. His remarkable leadership propelled him to become Executive Vice President, and then President in 2003.

Laura Carmack is the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at SAP NS2, where she is responsible for developing and executing the overall people strategy, including staffing, talent management and retention, compensation and employee relations.
Laura brings over 30 years of experience as a human resources leader in the federal technology space. She began her career in HR at Societe Generale in New York, running the stagiaire program, utilizing her French fluency in recruiting interns from abroad. Following this position, Laura joined Sybase, Inc. where she began her human resources career, supporting North America sales and services divisions, across commercial and federal space. Following SAP’s acquisition of Sybase, Inc. in 2010, she joined SAP NS2, where she has since led HR since 2010. In 2015, Laura was instrumental in the creation of NS2 Serves, a program that provides free IT training and career placement to post- 9/11 veterans. Since its inception, 330 veterans have graduated from the program, all of which were placed in a career by Laura’s tireless efforts. Prior to her HR career, Laura she was a French high school teacher and basketball coach at Blair Academy.
Laura holds a bachelor’s degree in French and education from Gettysburg College, and attended a master’s program in Angers, France. She resides with her husband and three children in Ocean City, NJ.Laura brings over 30 years of experience as a human resources leader in the federal technology space.
